i remember when he said there was teachers that really care about students education. But we have to pay attention and put the hard work to sussed."Everyone has something to afford"

2. What were the three most important words in Obama's speech? What do they mean?

3. Is Obama inspiring you to do anything? Is he challenging you to do something? What is it?

4. Obama said, "no one has written your destiny for you, you make your own destiny." What does this quote mean to you and your life?

to me this means that you can do anything you want and no matter how much people put you down you can become something and you can make a different in this world.

5. Obama stressed the importance of working hard in school and contributing to your country. He also asked, "What's your contribution going to be? What problems are you going to solve?" How would you answer this question if you were conversing with Mr. Obama?

I AM POEM

I am magnanimous and friendly
I wonder if I’m going to make it to college
I hear my baby calling me mommy
I see him crying for his dad
I want to become a detective
I am magnanimous and friendly

I pretend to be happy even when I fell like crying
I feel the struggles of my mother
I touch my baby’s football gear of his teenage years
I worry if I’m ever going to graduate
I cry when you say I’m stupid for getting pregnant
I am magnanimous and friendly

I understand that I’m going to be someone in this world
I say what goes around comes back around, karma is a bitch
I dream of seeing my baby graduate and playing football
I try to get him everything he needs
I hope one day I can support him on my own
I am magnanimous and friendly

Japanese Tea Ceremony

In the middle of the 16th century the first Westerners, the Jesuits, arrived in Japan, and at that same time a Japanese man named Rikyu was developing a new approach to the ancient practice of serving tea with some food.

That it is a social event is obvious. Guests gather at an appointed time to be served food and drink. This can be an informal tea which consists of serving a sweet and some tea, or even a small meal with the sweet and tea. This is called a chakai and can take anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour or so. The number of guests for this sort of tea can be as small as one, and the highest number of guests is determined only by the limitations of the host's facilities.

Guests also can be invited to a much more formal gathering called a chaji which involves highly structured gathering rituals, the serving of a meal in multiple courses, an intermission in a garden, and then a solemn thick tea ceremony followed by the less solemn thin Japanese tea ceremony.

A chaji will last from 3 to 5 hours and only 5 guests at most will be present. Both the chakai and the chaji have the same purpose which is to serve food and drink to guests.

The steps to the ceremony are quite simple:  clean the serving bowls, boil a pot of water, serve a sweet treat to guests before the tea, mix powdered bitter green tea (Matcha) and water to make a frothy tea, serve the tea to guests. [ The flavors of the sweets and bitter tea compliment each other.   This is a sign of harmony. ]
    1. Bow when you receive the cup of tea which is called a chawan.
    2. Take the chawan with your right hand and place it in the palm of your left hand.
    3. Turn the chawan clockwise three times before you take a drink.
    4. When the tea is gone, make a loud slurp to tell the host that the tea was truly enjoyed.
    5. Wipe the part of the chawan your lips touched with your right hand.
    6. Turn the chawan counterclockwise and return to the host.

what does the secret life of bees have to do with racism?
*share what you now about racism and bees*
in my opinion i think that the secret life of bees has lots of thing to do with racism. Because it was from like the 60 were their was segregation. Black and white people couldn't be together, and they were treated different. Its a connection because she seen her mom whit like something of the black Madonna and the honey jars have the black Madonna on the front so that's why i think she made a connection.

can you relate to the story and to her experiences with racism? what experience(s) have you had deal with the similar to lily?

well I'm a teen mother and people sometimes look at me weir because i have a baby. They star asking all types of stupid question like if I'm stupid and stuff. Sometime i just feel like cursing at them. Its usually the older people that do that. One time i was on the bus and some laity stared calling me and my friend "little hoes go take care of your kids" and we were on our way to school. just because I'm a young mother that dose not make me a hoe, it makes me a proud mother.

Stingray

stingray's live in topical coastal waters around the world. Some of this places are Asia, Africa, Florida. These animals are predators, and they eat all types of invertebrates and also fish, that they catch near or upon the bottom of the ocean (or rivers, in the case of the few freshwater species). stingrays breathe the same way that fish do they pass water over there gills and exchanging oxygen from the water. there mating season occurs in the winter. He will follow the female stingray closely, biting at her pectoral disc. they will have a litter witch mean 5 or more stingrays at a time. The female holds the embryos in the womb without a placenta. Instead, the embryos absorb nutrients from a yolk sac, and after the sac is depleted the mother provides uterine milk. stingrays have a Venus sting in the back of their bodies.Indeed their sting can be quite painful, and explorer Steve Irwin was killed by a sting piercing his heart.but at the most part they are berry kind and harmless.
