in my opinion i think that the secret life of bees has lots of thing to do with racism. Because it was from like the 60 were their was segregation. Black and white people couldn't be together, and they were treated different. Its a connection because she seen her mom whit like something of the black Madonna and the honey jars have the black Madonna on the front so that's why i think she made a connection.

well I'm a teen mother and people sometimes look at me weir because i have a baby. They star asking all types of stupid question like if I'm stupid and stuff. Sometime i just feel like cursing at them. Its usually the older people that do that.One time i was on the bus and some laity stared calling me and my friend "little hoes go take care of your kids" and we were on our way to school. just because I'm a young mother that dose not make me a hoe, it makes me a proud mother.
